Donington bosses expecting WorldSBK update 'in a few days'

Donington Park chiefs are expecting to make a decision to whether the planned July WorldSBK round will go ahead in a few days.

Currently, tickets for the race - which would be only the second WorldSBK event this year - are still on sale but so are tickets for Assen in August which will not go ahead due to restrictions in Holland.

“At this stage is that we’re in regular contact with Dorna regarding World Superbikes at Donington Park and we hope to have an update in the next few days,” said MSV’s Tristan Harris.

Currently, motorsport in the UK is outlawed until June 30 and the Donington weekend gets underway on July 3.

But 14-day mandatory quarantine period for arrivals in the UK will come into effect shortly, which will make it impossible for teams.
