James Ellison will replace Josh Elliott in the OMG Suzuki team for the last two Bennetts British Superbike rounds, riding alongside Luke Mossey and Billy McConnell.

Despite winning at the opening Silverstone round this year, Elliott hasn’t got on with the big GSX-R10000 as well as he would have hoped but have said they will honour his contract until the day it runs out.

“On behalf of the team, I’d like to thank Josh for everything that he has done for the team. He’s an incredible talent and we believe that one day he will go on to challenge for the BSB title and more, we hope he will always remain a part of the OMG Family,” said team founder Alan Garnder.

“However, the environment we have built across our two seasons wasn’t something which Josh felt comfortable riding in – and we must now focus on the future of the team.
