Donington BSB: 'No reason we can't fight for podiums' - Buchan

FS-3 Kawasaki’s Danny Buchan believes his version of the ZX-10RR has come a long way since the Bennetts British Superbike Championship visted Domington Park last time out and sees no reasons why he won’t be a podium challenger this weekend.

Buchan is expecting another tough fight from his rivals in the next two races but knows that the round earlier in the season didn’t deliver the best results for himself and the team, something he wants to put right on Sunday.

“I have gone well at Donington before but earlier in the year we did struggle a bit, we were still understanding the bike and how it worked,” said Buchan.

“I feel that the knowledge we have gained from the start of the year until now will be a massive plus for us going back. There is no reason why we can’t be fighting for podiums there and at Brands Hatch.

“My goal at Assen was to close the gap to the Ducatis and we beat one of them and had the other two in front and so that is a good job done by us and FS-3 Racing Kawasaki.

“Now we are open-minded going to Donington, we need to do what we always do, work hard and be contenders at the front.”
