Quattro Kawasaki have wheeled in former Eugene Laverty crew chief Phil Marron as a replacement for the departed Simon Green.
Marron is currently gainfully employed with the Turkish Pucetti Kawasaki WorldSBK team looking after Toprak Razgatlioglu and will split his time between the two championships.
Green left the squad on the Saturday of Oulton Park after disagreements with Irwin.
“I got asked by Glenn and by Jack [Valentine] if I could help out because it’s been a terrible start to the season,” Marron told Bikesport News.
“I went and spoke to them at the North West and said I would come and lend a hand here and help steady the ship. My team were okay, Kawasaki were okay so there was no conflict of interest.”
