McAMS Yamaha's Jason O'Halloran bounced back from a mid-morning crash at the final Bennetts British Superbike pre-season test to set the second quickest time of the day.
O'Halloran was left a little bruised by the get-off but ended with a time under the current lap record and only 0.014s off fastest man Lee Jackson.
"It's been a good day, but I have to say I'm glad pre-season is done with now! It's been a long one," said the Australian.
"Today has probably been the best day we've had all pre-season, we've worked to a plan and stuck to it and it's paid off.
"I had a small tip off in session two which set us back a bit but we regrouped and got back on track with the plan for the final two sessions.
"I can't wait to get back here next weekend and sit in front of those lights and finally get racing underway.
"It's good to finish testing so close to the top as it just adds to our confidence ahead of next weekend."
