RAF Reserves Kawasaki’s Ryan Vickers will take no further part in this weekend’s Bennetts British Superbike action at Donington after breaking his collarbone in a crash.

The series rookie went down in free practice three while trying to get out of the way of another rider who was exiting pitlane.

Vickers tried to brake as he entered Redgate but hit a bump and went down, with the resulting injury putting him in the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham where he will undergo surgery under the watchful eye of Leon Haslam’s surgeon.
