VisionTrack Ducati’s Josh Brookes is now only ten points behind Bennetts British Superbike series leader Glenn Irwin after a big haul at Oulton Park as the pack heads into Donington this weekend.
The Australian was leapfrogged by compatriot Jason O’Halloran whose double win took him into second place but Brookes believes he is back in the title chase and goes into another track where he has taken plenty of wins.
“After Oulton, we showed we were back in the running for the title so I’m looking forward to getting back to Donington,” said Brookes.
“We had a good showing on the GP circuit last year and there is more to setting the bike up than just for the Melbourne Loop, it affects the whole lap so it’s a lot more than people think.
“I’m confident that the Ducati will work well, at least I hope it will, and I’m feeling full of positive vibes after winning at Oulton Park so let’s continue where we left off.”
