Isle of Man TT legend Ian Hutchinson will stand in for Synetiq BMW’s Brad Ray after he suffered a leg injury in the opening Bennetts British Superbike free practice.

Hutchinson has been competing in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 series with his own team so is able to jump in as he is also Synetiq’s roads rider.

Ray attended the Donington medical centre during the opening session and didn’t re-join. It is believed he has cut his leg and had to have stitches.
