Ducati MotoGP boss Davide Tardozzi has given a clear indication that Australian Jack Miller will replace Danilo Petrucci in the factory team for 2021.
Tardozzi admitted the manufacturer is thinking hard about putting the youngster in the works outfit - but with whom is another matter - but more work has to be done on the deal.
“We are thinking about Jack in the factory team,” said Tardozzi. “We have to manage the situation because the riders that will join the factory team will be two of the five riders that are contracted with Ducati already.
“Two of the five will be there. Jack did something very good at the end of the season, so we’re thinking he could be a possibility. We are discussing internally about that, even with Jack, but no decisions have been made.
“We’re very close to making a decision regarding Jack but nothing has been done yet.”
