Former Moto3 star Asher Durham will switch to the Pirelli National Superstock 600 class for 2020 after signing for the Microlise Cresswell Racing squad.
Durham has already been testing at Cartagena and has made the switch from the 250 GP bike to the bigger production-based class/.
“There was an option for me to go to the Junior World Championships in Spain but the funds needed to get there were just too much in such a short time frame,” said Durham.
“That said I am really looking forward to being in the BSB paddock again and taking the next step in my career towards becoming a professional racer.
“I am really grateful that despite their focus on the young talent in the British Talent Cup series this year that John and Bob at Microlise Cresswell Racing also decided to add a 600 bike to the team as well.
“Richard at Derby Kawasaki has always been a support for me since I first started riding a motorbike so to be riding a Kawasaki ZX636R this season and having them involved with the team too will be great.
“Racing does come at a price though and we do still have space on the bike this year for anyone who might be interested in getting involved with the team.”
