Up-and-coming Spanish star Raul Fernandez will join the Red Bull KTM team in Moto3 next season and ride alongside Kaito 'Not Now' Toba.
Red Bull KTM Ajo and Fernandez have previously worked together in Moto3, when he represented the team at the 2018 German GP as a substitute rider.
“I am very happy to be part of the Red Bull KTM Ajo team for next season. When I was in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup I looked up to the team, because I think that getting a ride here is the dream for all the children who have come through that series," said Fernandez.
"I want to thank all the team members, KTM, Red Bull and, above all, Aki Ajo. I think the team and I have the same goals for 2020: we want to fight to win. I'm looking forward to starting to work and show my potential, I will do my best and give my all to achieve strong results.”
Fernandez came to be noticed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and the FIM CEV, achieving great results in both competitions. His performances earned him a debut in the World Championship at the age of 16 and, after several further appearances over the subsequent two years, 2019 saw him undertake his first full Grand Prix season.
