​Eugene Laverty has begun his preparations for the 2016 MotoGP season at Valencia on the Aspar Ducati as he and other riders got a first look at their new machinery.

Laverty has stayed with his team Aspar but the squad has changed machinery from the Open Honda bike to a GP14.2 that Pramac Racing used in 2015 and here are some of the first images of the Irishman on his motorcycle.

Ducati have provided Aspar with two Desmosedicis for the 2016 season with Yonny Hernandez partnering Laverty and the Spanish team will hope they can get more out of the machine than the Honda produced for both Laverty and Nicky Hayden this season.
