Former British Superbike Champion Leon Haslam has turned in his first public laps on the new Honda Fireblade SP WorldSBK contender at Jerez this morning.
Haslam ventured out on to the drying surface two hours after the track opened with team-mate Alvaro Bautista in tow and went straight the top of the timesheet with a 2’01.681 with his first flying lap before dropping to a 1’59.317 on lap four. Haslam then came back into the pits to make adjustments.
After half an hour in the garage, Haslam came back out and immediately went to a 1’54.803.
