Four-time WorldSBK Carl Fogarty will be returning to Oliver’s Mount for the forthcoming Barry Sheene meeting on the 27 and 28 July for parade laps aboard a Ducati 916.
Fogarty is the first of a long list of star riders who will be taking part in spectacular parades during the Barry Sheene meeting.
The three-time TT winner is no stranger to Oliver’s Mount, first competing in 1986, winning the 250 race on his debut and is excited to return to a track which helped propel his career
“I made my debut in 1986, in the 250 race, broke the lap record and took the win,” said Fogarty.
That was before Farm Bends, flat out over the start-finish – it was mega. It was my first true road race, and everyone was telling me I was riding too fast. I’m looking forward to getting back into my old leathers and riding the 916”.
Oliver’s Mount racing would like to take this opportunity to thank the Two Four Three Road Racing Association and the 1946 Marshal Association for their continued support.
