Gerloff moves to Laverty's Bonovo BMW squad

American Garrett Gerloff has signed to ride for Eugene Laverty’s Bonovo BMW team in the 2023 WorldSBK series.

The 27-year-old started his career in the USA and competed in various championships there. In 2016 and 2017, he became champion in MotoAmerica Supersport.

In the following two years, he was successful in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. Since 2020, Gerloff has been competing in World Superbike with GRT Yamaha, where Remy Gardner will ride in 2023.

In his first season in the fiercely contested championship, he impressed with three podium finishes, followed by two more last year.

“We are over the moon to have a rider like Garrett Gerloff joining us now in the Bonovo action team,” said team principal Jürgen Roder.

“We are confident that we will go into an excellent 2023 season with him and hopefully also with Loris Baz and are already looking forward to working together. We hope to be able to deliver what he wants and envisions.

“I am very happy, and I am sure that we can now also plan intensively for the future with the two riders.”
