TV star and occasional racer Guy Martin will make his return to competition at the 2019 Cookstown 100.
Martin withdrew from last year’s event, stating gearbox problems with his home-built BSA Rocket Three. He apologised to the organising club, as there wasn’t enough time to get the necessary parts for the bike.
“I’ve not given up on racing or road racing, there’s no unfinished business and I want to race classics and oddball stuff,” Martin stated on his website.
Martin will contest the classic races on the Rocket 3 and is no stranger to the KDM Hire Cookstown 100 meting, having won both Superbike races on the Tyco BMW in 2015.
