Silicone Racing’s Dean Harrison has been ruled out of the Oulton and Assen Bennetts British Superbike rounds.

The Bradford rider hit a wall during practice for the Lightweight Classic TT last week and after a stay in hospital, it has been recommended he rest for the foreseeable future.

“An overnight assessment showed that Dean was suffering from internal injuries which are not life threatening but serious enough to require he rests at home for the time being,” said a team statement.

“The team is hoping to see Dean back on track towards the end of the season and will be making an announcement nearer the time.”
