Haslam launches ‘dream’ Rokit BMW BSB campaign

Leon Haslam

Leon Haslam has finally announced his 2023 plans with a return to Bennetts British Superbike with ROKiT BMW.

The 2018 BSB Champion confirmed his plans less than a fortnight before the first race of the 2023 season, with the BMW M1000 RR his bike of choice for the coming year.

The new project sees Haslam return to the BMW Motorrad Motorsport family after a decade away - the British rider having last competed for the manufacturer across the 2011 and 2012 WorldSBK seasons, securing eight podiums.

“I am so excited to be able to finally put all this together as it’s been a long few weeks of trying to get it over the line,” Haslam confirmed on the launch. “I would like to thank ROKiT, Completely Motorbikes and all of our sponsors who have been able to make this possible, it’s a dream come true.

“I’ve had a really good winter from a physical point of view, so I am ready for this new challenge in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship on the BMW M1000 RR.”

ROKiT, co-founded by Jonathan Kendrick and John Paul DeJoria, has secured a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the BMW squad to promote its diverse portfolio of innovative businesses products and services. The range includes mobile phones, ROKiT Cities (which deploys mass-access out of home wi-fi internationally), a portfolio of drink brands, a large drinks distribution company, a product licensing division, an apparel and accessories range, eBikes and 3D content production, development and distribution of movies and music and will soon launch ROKiT Flix, the only free streaming service for kids.

“We’re really excited to be the Title Sponsor of the BMW Motorrad British Superbike Team and bringing the Pocket Rocket into the ROKiT family,” Kendrick said. “This sponsorship augments and enhances our existing partnership with BMW in the World Superbike Championship so we can now look forward to a very exciting and successful season ahead.”
