Michael Dunlop has confirmed his entry to the 2019 Southern 100 despite having to miss his Pike’s Peak debut after a rallying crash.
Dunlop was injured in a crash on the Donegal Rally last weekend which means he had to cancel his run up the Colorado mountain.
However, Southern 100 bosses have spoken with the Ballymoney man and he will be at the Castletown event when it kicks off on Monday, July 8.
Dunlop contacted race secretary George Peach to confirm his arrival on the Sunday prior to the practices starting. Dunlop has his BMW Superbike and Honda Supersport machines being set up for the races.
