Bennetts British Superbike rookie Storm Stacey has admitted his mind has been blown by the two Spanish tests in which he took part.

The youngster, who has been recruited by Brent Gladwin's GR Motosport Kawasaki team, was surprisingly quick at Monteblanco and at Jerez, and is looking set for a good first season in the blue riband class.

"It was an amazing first time on a Superbike. We did the Monteblanco test and finished 1.5s off the leaders and then at Jerez the same again, it's absolutely blown my mind," said Stacey.

"Before I left my house I was nearly being sick with nerves, I can't thank the team enough for the package they have put together and the trust they have shown.

"There are many more riders they could have put on that bike but they chose me, so I am more than happy."
