Eugene Laverty has been re-united with ex-crew chief Marcus Eschenbacher for the 2020 WorldSBK season as they both return to the Shaun Muir Racing fold.
Eschenbacher is moving back to Superbikes after four years in MotoGP and has worked with both Laverty and muir's team in the past.
"I’ve been very fortunate during my career to have worked with two of the best crew chiefs in the paddock, namely Marcus Eschenbacher in 2012 and 2013 and then Phil Marron from 2014 to 2018," said Laverty.
"I enjoyed some of the best years of my career together with Marcus and so I’m excited to have him back in my corner again as I begin this new chapter.
"No one knows a motorcycle better from top to bottom and that’s why I fought so hard to get him onboard to make this BMW into a world championship winning bike.”
Eschenbacher replaces the departing Pete Benson, who is leaving BMW to go to the KTM test team in MotoGP.
