Kennedy moves back to Supersport for 2021 season

Double Quattro British Supersport Champion Jack Kennedy will return to the middleweight class in 2021 after signing with the DB Racing Kawasaki team.

Kennedy spent last season struggling on problematic Yamaha R1 in the blue riband class but has opted to go for a third Supersport title next season.

“I’m back to fight for title number three in British Supersport but this time with a different team and manufacturer so I’m looking forward to the new era ahead,” said Kennedy.

“I’ve had success with nearly every other manufacturer in British Supersport so the challenge now is to do the same and put an unproven Supersport project with the Kawasaki 636 on top.

“Right now I’m excited by the new project ahead having secured my place on the grid with DB Race Services for 2021. Thanks to Dave Tyson for the opportunity and big thanks also to my loyal sponsors for sticking by me in these tough and uncertain times.

“My aim is to fight for the BSS title next season with the plan to return to SBK the following year. It is going to be an interesting championship with a lot of competition and close racing so I’m sure the fans will be in for a treat.

“I hope that we can have them all back next year as I’ve missed the atmosphere and the packed grandstands.”
