Knockhill BSB: Time to 'push for the front' says Linfoot

Santander TAG's Dan Linfoot will try to keep his Brands Hatch momentum rolling on at this weekend's Knockhill Bennetts British Superbike round and continue to challenge for podium finishes.

The Yorkshireman put on by far his best show of the season last time out, scrapping his way to second in race one and scoring 31 points overall at the Kent track.

"I’m definitely looking forward this weekend, we had a little taster and a spin around Knockhill two weeks ago and we had a few good dry sessions, so it will be our aim to carry on from there. We had a decent weekend at Brands, but we need to keep up that momentum and push for the front," said Linfoot.

“I like Knockhill, I’ve some had good results there and have some great memories up there also, so from that point of view I’m looking forward to getting up to Scotland and seeing what this weekend brings.

“I’m after two strong results again for the Championship, we moved a lot closer at Brands because before that we quite far back. The key is to bring home as many points as possible to try and lift myself as far up the leader board as I can.

“It’s all to play for, it’s good to know that there isn’t that many points separating myself from where to need be in the Showdown, but there are still quite a few races to go. So, hopefully we can bridge that gap, have a strong weekend, keep this smile on my face and continue the momentum.”
