Magny-Cours WorldSBK: Razgatlioglu doubles up with sprint race win

Fresh from taking his first WorldSBK victory yesterday, Toprak Razgatlioglu doubled up with a win in the Superpole race this morning.

After a tense tussle with reigning champion Jonathan Rea, the Turkish rider emerged victorious by just three tenths with Michael van der Mark in third.

Rea was the leader for some of the race but the Independent Kawasaki rider had the better of the official Kawasaki rider at the end, despite a last lap push and pass from Rea that was finally rebuffed.

Third was Race One crasher Michael van der Mark (Pata Yamaha WorldSBK Team), although Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) had a very good try at catching him, taking fourth position in the final results.

Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) kept the championship alive and almost kicking with fifth, with Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha WorldSBK Team) right behind him.

Loris Baz (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) was seventh, Tom Sykes (BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) eighth, Leon Haslam (Kawasaki Racing Team) ninth and Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Barni Racing Team Ducati) tenth.Click here for results
