Reigning MotoGP Champion Marc Marquez will go head-to-head with F1 king Lewis Hamilton in this year's Laureus Sportsman of the Year.
Marquez and Hamilton dominated their respective disciplines this season and both are on six championships in their blue riband championships.
A motorsport win is not a foregone conclusion, however, as footballist Lionel Messi is also on the list as is returning golfer Tiger Woods, who won the US Masters at the age of 85.
Tennis god Rafa Nadal is also in the running as is, er, runner Eliud Kipchoge who became the first person to run a sub two-hour marathon.
