McGuinness to ride at Oliver's Mount Sheene meeting

Road racing legend and 23 times TT winner John McGuinness will ride at Oliver’s Mount on the 27-28 July as part of the Barry Sheene meeting.

The former TT lap record holder and Norton rider will be parading along with a host of stars, including four times World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty.

McGuinness will be riding a variety of bikes over the weekend and will be on-hand in the paddock to meet fans.  A TT legend, John is looking forward to riding around the track he loves so much.

"“I’ve always liked Oliver’s Mount, I’ve still got the 250 lap record.There is a great atmosphere, and a relaxed paddock. You can pop down the sea front after the racing for an ice-cream and make it a family weekend."

McGuinness made his debut at Oliver’s in 1996 finishing third in the 250 race and is still the current 250 lap record holder, which he set at the Gold Cup in 1999, where he also took the overall win at the Gold Cup in the same year.
