Current Moto2 rider Hafizh Syahrin will compete in WorldSBK for 2022 alongside Leandro “Tati” Mercado at MIE Racing Honda.

Extending the Moriwaki squad’s current FIM Superbike World Championship setup into a two-rider presence for 2022, Syahrin will switch from the MotoGP paddock after eight seasons - competing in both the premier and intermediate class.

The 27-year-old Malaysian will partner current MIE rider Mercado, who is still to face the final round of 2021, in Indonesia, next weekend, who has been confirmed for a second year aboard the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.
