Miller expecting to tie up Pramac MotoGP deal today

Australian MotoGP star Jack Miller is confident he will tie up his Pramac Ducati MotoGP deal today, putting an end to speculation that Jorge Lorenzo is to swoop and in and remove it from under him.

Rumours were rife over the Red Bull Ring race weekend that Lorenzo was in contact with Ducati bosses to try and exchange the Honda RC213V he can't seem to get to grips with for a works GP20 next season even though he is contracted to Honda until the end of next year.

“I think everything should be cleared up in the next hours or days, so we'll see,” Miller said at the track yesterday.

I think we should have a clear answer for you at least by tomorrow. I had other options, other places. But my main goal was to stay here, we have just started arriving on the podium, and I think we are going to get there more and more in the not so distant future, and I want to keep that going.

Honda boss Alberto Puig took great pains to stress he hadn't been informed by Lorenzo that he wanted to leave the Repsol-backed team before his contract up.

Lorenzo is planning to make his return from injury at Silverstone in two weeks.
