Monteblanco BSB test: Brookes goes quickest on day two

Josh Brookes topped the timesheets on the second day of Bennetts British Superbike testing at Monteblanco, using his time from the morning session to take the laurels.

Brookes put in a 1'37.424 this morning which couldn't be better in the afternoon as temperatures rose and second placed man Danny Buchan was also unable to improve after the lunch break.

Rich OMG BMW's Hector Barbera did find some pace, however, hauling himself into third place overall with a 1'37.593 top the afternoon session and finish only 0.169 off the former champion.

McAMS Yamaha's Jason O'Halloran found fractions this afternoon to secure fourth place while Luke Mossey also made ground, dropping his time to a 1'37.657.

Ryan Vickers finished in seventh, setting his best time of 1'37.683 this afternoon while Joe Francis leapt into contention, putting the Lloyd and Jones BMW in seventh, one place ahead of Christian Iddon.

Jack Kennedy and Tommy Bridewell completed the top ten with Tarran Mackenzie in 11th place. Peter Hickman, Dan Linfoot, Lee Jackson and Alex Olsen are your top 15.
