Monteblanco BSB test: Kennedy ready for Yamaha Superbike debut

Reigning British Supersport Champion Jack Kennedy will make his debut on the Santander TAG Yamaha tomorrow when pitlane opens at the Monteblanco British Superbike test.

The Dubliner, who got himself a baby daughter over the winter, has changed his training regime to suit the demands of a full Superbike and is optimistic about what he will find in Spain.

“It’s felt like a lifetime waiting for this but I’m really excited to get going now, I’m can’t wait to get to Spain and get started," said Kennedy.

“It’s been a long winter, but a great one for me, I’ve spent plenty of time with my baby daughter and I’ve made sure I’m stronger than ever before, so I’m going in to the five days relaxed and raring to go.

“I am very optimistic to see what potential the new R1 has, I have spoken to the team over the winter a lot and they have done an amazing job to get the bikes up to full spec, so full credit goes to the guys back at the workshop.

“I have set my own personal goals and I don’t want to reveal them, but they are very realistic. My first aim is to get comfortable on the bike then keep chipping away until we’re fully up to speed.”
