Monteblanco BSB test: O'Halloran ends day one on top

McAMS Yamaha's Jason O'Halloran finished the opening day of Monteblanco Bennetts British Superbike test action on top of the timesheets, grazing the 1'37s barrier to displace youngster Ryan Vickers.

O'Halloran put in a 1;38.092 right at the end of the second session to depose the RAF Reserves Kawasaki man who had, in turn, pushed morning leader Josh Brookes into second place.

Vickers clicked a 1'38.275 to beat the VisionTrack Ducati man who didn't improve his time this afternoon but it was still fast enough to claim third overall.

Team-mate Christian Iddon was also a non-improver but remained in fourth place while Massingberd Kawasaki's Danny Buchan found three seconds in the lunchbreak to claim fifth place for the day.

Joe Francis leapt up the sheets on the Lloyd and Jones BMW to bag sixth place with a 1'38.757 with former MotoGP star Hector Barbera taking his Rich OMG BMW to seventh with a lap seven-tenths off the pace.

Team-mate Luke Mossey finished in eighth with Tommy Bridewell one place further back. Santander TAG Yamaha's Dan Linfoot completed the top ten with Peter Hickman in 11th. Tarran Mackenzie, Jack Kennedy, Alex Olsen and Lee Jackson rounded out the top 15.
