McAMS Yamaha’s Jason O’Halloran left it to the last lap of the Monteblanco BSB Thursday morning test session to storm into the lead.

The Australian was the first man under the 1’37s barrier and leads the field by half a second after posting a 1’36.651.

Be Wiser Ducati’s Scott Redding had been leading before O’Halloran’s charge and was chased hard by Tarran Mackenzie on the second McAMS bike although the little Scotsman had a crash at turn six.

Xavi Fores, championing the works Honda Fireblade, was 0.013s slower, while OMG Suzuki’s Luke Mossey claimed fifth place and is still only fraction in arrears, putting in a 1’37.472 which was enough to see Glenn Irwin kept in sixth on the Quattro Kawasaki.

Bradley Ray set a 1’1’37.826 on his Buildbase Suzuki for seventh with Andrew Irwin eighth on the second Honda. Josh Elliott and Danny Buchan completed the top ten.

Rookie Ryan Vickers put his RAF Reserves Kawasaki in 11th with Luke Stapleford and Claudio Corti next along. Josh Brookes finished in 14th with Ben Currie rounding out the top 15.
