MotoGP Aragon: “I don’t understand what happened’ - Dixon

A promising Aragon Grand Prix imploded for Jake Dixon as the Shimoku GasGas Aspar rider crashed out of the battle for fourth on the final lap of Sunday’s Moto2 race.

Launching from the front row, alongside teammate Albert Arenas, Dixon was running a confident second position as the 21-lap race unfolded. Dropping to the back of the top five four laps in, the Brit maintained his presence in the second group for the majority of the contest as they battled on the edge of the podium. Renewed pace in the closing stages saw him begin to mount a comeback before his challenge was cut short with a crash at turn 12 on the final lap.

“I was fighting for fourth position and don’t really understand what happened with the crash,” Dixon admitted after the dust had settled. “I’d like to have a look through the data.
