Repsol Honda team manager Alberto Puig is a little more risk-averse than rider Marc Marquez but agrees that the only way to bag championships is to win races.

But the little Spaniard believes you only take the chance to win when it is relatively safe to do so and not, like Marquez, ‘push to the maximum’ all the time.

“The positive is certainly the victory. Now we are going to Aragón, where we will try to win again, this is our target,” said Puig.

“This is the only way to one day become champions. I think the most conservative way to win a title is to win races by taking chances when you can. Aragón is a good track for Marc and for our bike, let’s see what the weather will do.

“But we are going to MotorLand trying to win, not thinking about a podium. If we can’t win, then we cannot win but we will certainly be working towards this.”
