Britain's Tom Booth-Amos is aiming for his first Moto3 points-scoring finish at this weekend's Austin MotoGP round.
The youngster, who rides for the CIP-Green Power squad, finished in 18th place at Termas and is hoping a suspension upgrade from WP will push him into the upper echelons.
“I’m really looking forward to this weekend after the massive leap forward we made with the
bike in Argentina," he said.
This weekend I’ll get some new equipment from WP and so I hope to make another step. I’m aiming for points this time and that’s not impossible.
"I really love being in America. I’ve been fortunate to go and see the recent Supercross event in Nashville and hoping that Texas will give me the first chance to get my name and the #69 on the points board.”
It won't be plain sailing as Booth-Amos has to spend the first session working out which way the Circuit of The Americas goes - which is no mean feat as it's 3.43-miles long with 20 corners.
