Britain's Jake Dixon will not take part in today's Moto2 race at the Austin MotoGP round after suffering a concussion on Friday.
The Nieto KTM rider crashed during free practice and although didn't suffer any other injuries, doctors have declared him unfit to ride.
“It’s a shame that I won’t be able to compete in the GP of The Americas because of my crash yesterday," said Dixon.
"I’m not in the best shape and, even though I wanted to ride, the doctors advised me not to and declared me unfit to compete. Now I’m just thinking about going home and resting.”
