MotoGP Austin postponed until November 15

Austin’s MotoGP round has been postponed until November 15 and the Valencia season finale will now run a week later than that.

The Americas GP is the latest victim of the coronavirus scare but it still appears the Argentine round will go ahead as planned. For now at least.

Authorities in Travis County, where COTA is situated, have already binned a major music and film festival, and have also put in place a ban on all events that will attract more than 2500 attendees.

A statement from Dorna reads:

The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports regret to announce the postponement of the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, which was set to take place from the 3rd to the 5th of April 2020.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the event has been rescheduled for later in the season and will now take place from the 13th to the 15th of November.
