MotoGP Austria: Ducati bosses tight-lipped on Lorenzo return

Ducati bosses are remaining tight-lipped over strong rumours that Jorge Lorenzo is being lined up for return to the marque in 2020.

Although he is contracted to Honda until the end of next season, Lorenzo has not gelled with the RC213V at all and talk of a seat in the satellite Pramac team began in earnest yesterday.

When questioned, Pramac boss Francesco Guidotti's reply was: "That is a decision for Ducati, you ask them" while factory team manager Davide Tardozzi added, "He is a contracted Honda rider, so we can't talk about such things."

Jack Miller, whose place would be under threat if Lorenzo's management were circling, added fuel to the fire yesterday: "I think there is some truth to the rumours about Lorenzo.  For sure you have to be looking at something because at the moment he's got nothing, can't ride that Honda. It is easy to tuck your tail between your legs and run back."

Lorenzo is currently out of action but plans to return to the MotoGP fray at Silverstone in two weekend's time.
