MotoGP Buriram: Dixon ‘gave everything’ for seventh

Inde GasGas Aspar’s Jake Dixon will start the Thai Grand Prix from the Moto2 third row after qualifying seventh at Buriram.

Despite dominating Friday’s practice times, the Brit was unable to replicate his session-topping position during Saturday’s action. Ninth in FP3, Dixon’s previous best secured his place in the Q2 fight with a third row start the outcome of his ultimate 1’36.106 lap, set on his sixth of eight attempts at the Chang International Circuit.

“I gave everything in qualifying and I got seventh,’ Dixon said on Saturday afternoon. "It's not the end of the world, I think if we improve some aspects of the bike we can have a good race.

"We've worked hard for this Grand Prix and we'll see what we can do.”
