MotoGP Buriram: Zarco ‘pretty happy’ after setting Friday pace

Prima Pramac’s Johann Zarco topped the MotoGP times on Friday at Buriram’s Chang International Circuit.

A 1’30.281 final lap demoted Ducati’s factory rider Pecco Bagnaia from the leading position by a tight 0.018s in the dying seconds of the afternoon session after the Frenchman has sat on the fringes of the top ten for FP1.

“Pretty happy!” Zarco confirmed on Friday afternoon. “From the morning I was quite competitive, the time attack in the morning was not perfect and I was in 12th position, but not too much stressful because feeling was quite okay on the bike.

“In the afternoon we try things and at the end of the practice I could really get pretty well focused for this time attack and I'm happy that the last lap has been pretty good.

“That's very positive for Saturday. Fight for the first row is the main thing because it helps to make a good race on Sunday. Happy. It's a good sign to be fast, try to work to feel even better.”
