Britain’s Sam Lowes will focus on his early-race pace at the second Jerez Moto2 race this weekend after he struggled in the first laps on Sunday.

Lowes fought back to net good points for fourth but feels he needs to work on his pace with a full tank of fuel.

“I’m happy with the way I finally started the world championship. We are analysing the data from the race last Sunday to be able to make some adjustments for this next GP,” said Lowes.

“We will work on improving both the start and the rhythm in the first few laps. This second race won’t be easy as the riders who were fast in the first race will still be there and there will some more coming who will improve as the weekend progresses.

“I am happy because we have a good base to work from and I am confident I can fight for the podium this weekend.”
