MotoGP Jerez #2: Suzuki holeshot device ‘probably’ ready for Sunday| David Miller | MotoGP
Ecstar Suzuki team boss Davide Brivio has admitted the team’s holeshot device could be deployed during the second Jerez MotoGP race on Sunday.
Yamaha demonstrated last weekend the difference one can make to starts as Maverick Vinales managed to not scythe his way backwards as the lights went out and Franco Morbdelli has been banging on Lin jarvis’ door demanding one.
Suzuki have been coy with letting details of their device progress out to the public but it seems it’s ready. Or nearly.
“Let’s say close to being ready. Probably yes, probably yes. We will evaluate during the weekend,” Brivio told MotoGP.com’s Simon Crafar during free practice one this morning.
Brivio was disappointed with last weekend at the Spanish track as he had one rider injured and another who performed below his potential, especially given his pace in free practice three and four.
Yeah we were quite disappointed because we think we had a good chance with both of them. It’s east to say now but we would have been able to fight with the top guys. So it’s disappointing for that but let’s try to forget that, restart, turn the page and here we are for a new weekend.
“Alex it will be difficult but we can try score some points which will be important for the Championship, and Joan has the possibility to recover from his mistake in the race.”
