Valentino Rossi has spoken of trying new and different solutions to his problems at Yamaha’s home MotoGP this weekend.
Even with a new swingarm, exhaust and electronics tweaks, Rossi hasn’t been able to locate the podium in the second half of the season, so will try ‘something different’ at Motegi.
“During these upcoming three consecutive races we will try to solve some of our problems with the bike,” said Rossi, who lies sixth in the championship chase.
“Obviously, we are not happy about the latest results and in Motegi we will try other solutions, something different. Motegi is a track that I like, and I will try to do a good race.”
Rossi has a good record at the Honda-owned track where he stood on the top step in 2001 and 2008, scored second place in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2015, and achieved third place in 2010 and 2014.
