Petronas Sprinta's Jake Dixon is relishing this weekend's Portimao Moto2 race despite the fact he has never raced at the Portugese track.
Dixon believes the coastal circuit will be very much like the British tracks he is used to and hopes to emulate his performance at the opening race.
'This weekend I want to keep building on what I achieved in the QatarGP. It’s important to get the feeling I had back. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to race at Portimao last year so this is the first time for me," said Dixon.
"With the undulations of the track, it’s ups and downs it’s very much like a British track so I’m really looking forward to it.
"I’ve travelled straight here from Qatar so have already spent some time here as I love the place, I love the scenery, and I can’t wait to get on the rollercoaster that is Portimao."
