Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Miguel Oliveira will make a decision on his participation at the Sepang MotoGP after first practice tomorrow.

The Portugese rider is still suffering with injuries sustained in a big crash during free practice four at Phillip Island.

“We went through the medical checks here and I’m cleared to ride tomorrow, but until I get on the bike I can’t really tell the true limitations of my injury,” Oliveira said at the track.

“Obviously, the doctors knew my condition because they had access to the MRI I did in Melbourne on Sunday. So they were just checking if the swelling was coming down as expected and basically we did some resistance tests.

“But to shake the hand of the doctor, or grab two fingers is very different from riding these bikes.

“So we just have to wait until tomorrow and after a couple of laps, or the end of FP1, we will make a final decision.”
