MotoGP Valencia Test: KTM switch 'easier than expected' for Miller

Australian Jack Miller got his first taste of the KTM RC-16 he will champion in MotoGP 2023 at the Valencia test and says the transition from Ducati was easier than expected.

Miller spent most of the day rolling on Michelin’s medium rear hoop and didn’t do a soft-tyre timre attack but was still only 0.755s off the pace after 70 laps.

“It was a lot iof fun, the weather is perfect for testing, we were able to get out on the track relatibekly early and ride to the end of the session,” said Miller, speaking at the track.

“We did a lot of laps shaking down the new bike and understanding the new team. It was a good day. I adapted easier than I expected after being on a different bike for a considerable amount of time.

“I felt pretty comfortable from the get-go and played around with it for the rest of the day. I was pretty happy with how we finished up.

“Unfortunately, there was no real time attack, I did most on the medium. I would have loved to have thrown some laps at it in anger but we are pretty happy with the result.”
