Yamaha, Monster Yamaha and Petronas Yamaha have been handed huge points penalties by MotoGP stewards for not obtaining unanimous approval from MSMA for technical changes.
It is believed they have all been penalised for changing valves at Jerez without asking for permission but this is not stated in the sanction notices.
The statement says:
Yamaha Motor Company have had 50 World Championship Constructor points withdrawn. This is double the points earned while not respecting the protocol required for technical changes.
Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP have had 20 World Championship Team points withdrawn while Petronas Yamaha SRT have had 37 World Championship Team points withdrawn.
