Oettl switches to WorldSBK with GoEleven Ducati

Philip Oettl will move up to WorldSBK next season after signing a two-year deal with GoEleven Ducati which also brings to a screaming halt all speculation regarding Tarran Mackenzie joining the team.

GoEleven had been rumoured to have been in talks with Yamaha to field a one-man squad with the newly-crowned British Superbike Champion in the chair but it is believed the Iwata factory couldn't provide the required level of support.

Oettl has been a regular podium contender in WorldSSP and will hope to continue showing his pace as he steps up to WorldSBK next season.

“I am very happy that after two successful seasons in the World Supersport Championship, I can make the step to WorldSBK with GoEleven," he said/.

"I hope that I can learn fast, I think that this is possible with a good group of people, and with GoEleven I have all the possibilities to achieve good results. From the outside, GoEleven was my desired Team, almost from the beginning of the 2022 deals.

"I can't wait to start this experience on the big bike, to learn as much as possible, to start next season and to improve Round by Round. I am happy to ride the Ducati, it's a great manufacturer and I really wanted this opportunity in Superbike, especially considering the successful past Ducati had.”
