Ogden sets sights on sealing British Talent Cup trophy

Scott Ogden heads to Silverstone's MotoGP this weekend with his sights set firmly on sealing the Dorna-run British Talent Cup and the chance of a place on the 2020 FIM Junior World Championship grid.

The 15-year-old has led the points standings since the first round at Silverstone in April and currently tops the table by a narrow margin of 16 points from his closest rival, 18-year-old Londoner Cameron Horsman.

A total of 50 points are up for grabs in the two remaining races at finale at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and whichever of the two BTC riders clinches the title can look forward to a seat with Dorna's Junior Talent Team in the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship next year.

Ogden and Horsman are also neck and neck in the British Motostar series, where just two points separates them after the Cadwell weekend.

"The British Talent Cup and the British Motostar championship are both closer than I'd like them to be but that's the way it is," said Ogden.

"The racing is so tight, so competitive that it only takes the tiniest of errors to lose places and points. But mentally and physically I'm strong and my racecraft is improving literally race by race, so hopefully I can follow up on this weekend's two wins with two more at Silverstone next weekend because nothing less than a brace will do."
