Smiths BMW's Peter Hickman topped a damp third Bennetts British Superbike free practice in which only 14 riders took part.
Hickman was 4.5 seconds off the pace showed by Josh Brookes yesterday afternoon, setting a 1'38.517, for top spot with the Australian's Be Wiser Ducati in second place and a tenth slower. The pair completed nine laps between them.
Tyco BMW's Christian Iddon put in nine laps and finished in third with a 1'40.359 and had Scott Redding behind him, 2.2s off the pace after four laps. Joe Francis was fifth.
